The national node of MIRRI in Portugal – Portuguese microBiological Resources Center Network (Pt-mBRCN/MIRRI-PT) – has made public its response to the public consultation on the country’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. On the document, MIRRI-PT suggests the following investments:
(1) a mobilizing Reindustrialisation Agenda/Alliance targeting the innovative strategic area “Application of microbial resources in the strategic sectors (and their intersections) of Health, Biotechnology and Food”.
(2) a structuring project targeting the “Preservation/recovery of biodiversity and application of microbial resources in the sustainable management and exploitation of agri-food and agri-environmental systems”.
(3) a Green Agenda/Alliance for Reindustrialisation targeting the innovative strategic area “Microbial resources for the development of new products, services and solutions for the sustainable exploitation of agri-food and agri-environmental systems”.
